4 Ways To Take CBD Oil

Posted on: 24 March 2022

If you want to start using CBD oil, then you can take the supplement in a few different ways. You might need to try different methods before you hit on the right one for you. What are your options?

1. Use CBD Oil As A Tincture

Many people use CBD oil as a tincture. Here, you put a drop or two of the oil under your tongue, wait for a minute or so and then swallow it. Many bottles have a dropper to make this easier; however, some use a spray delivery system instead.

This is usually the fastest way to feel the effects of the oil. The area under your tongue is full of capillaries. They deliver the oil into your bloodstream more quickly. So, you get the oil's benefits virtually immediately.

2. Add The Oil To A Drink

Some people don't like the taste of CBD oils. If you find this taste unpleasant, then you might not want to use your oil as a tincture. You can, however, simply add it to a drink.

So, for example, you could put a few drops of oil into your coffee, tea, juice, or smoothie. Your drink will disguise the taste for you.

Keep in mind that this delivery method is slower than putting the oil under your tongue. The oil has to get into your stomach and then into your system. So, you won't feel its effects as quickly.

3. Take Oil Capsules

If you prefer to take a fixed dose of CBD, then you can buy oil capsules. Here, you take a capsule according to your needs; you get a set dose every time. Capsules are also useful if you want to use oil when you are out of your home but don't want people to know that you are using it.

Again, capsules take more time to work. You have to wait for the capsules to move through your digestive tract and dissolve. So, you might need to take a capsule ahead of the time you need an oil dose.

4. Rub The Oil Into Your Skin

If you want to take CBD oil to help with aches, pains, and injuries, then you might see the best effects if you rub the oil into your skin. For example, if you have a backache, then rubbing an oil or oil-based cream into the sore area could give you direct and immediate pain relief.
